Fender Jaguar HJG-66KC Version IV
Crafted in Japan 2006-2008
Kurt Cobain Jaguar
Three-tone sunburst with vibrant mid-60’s yellowish hue.
This Jaguar is very rare since this isn’t listed in the regular Ikebe catalogue from Japan and was released in limited numbers.
From what I’ve read, this is one of the three variants released by Fender Japan that was based off the Jaguar that Kurt used on tour (IV; V and VI). This Jaguar is version IV which is the closest to a ‘65 Jaguar.
Alder body
Bound maple neck
Rosewood fretboard (22 frets)
Dimarzio PAF neck pickup
Dimarzio Super Distortion bridge pickup
Classic Jaguar controls with the lead circuit’s three two-way slide switches + two pots for volume and tone; the rhythm circuit’s two-way slide switch + two roller pots for volume and tone
Tune-o-Matic bridge
Floating Tremolo
Stock trem bar
The Jaguar’s body is in excellent shape only with a few unnoticeable signs of use. The neck is in great condition as well as the fretboard. Electronics and hardware are good as new — jack socket, switches, rollers and knobs are all tight with no hum nor grounding issues.
The Jaguar comes with a standard gig bag and its original trem bar.
